The Bible is the word of God. Everything we know about the One True and Living God comes from the Bible. And the whole Bible is about Jesus, both the Old and the New Testaments. Jesus is the living Word of God. The Bible is the written word of God about the living Word of God. If you believe the Bible, you must necessarily believe in Jesus.

Jesus is the physical manifestation of the God of the Bible. All of the other so-called “gods” are nothing but idols. That is why Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father but by me.” John 14:6

There are millions of people who give their mental assent to the fact that Jesus is the Son of God. But that, in itself, is not enough to save them. It’s too shallow of a form of belief to count as “faith.” They don’t believe it in their hearts, and they don’t know the Lord personally.

They’re going to miss heaven simply because of their ignorance of the Bible. The most important concepts in life are found in the Bible. This is a matter of life and deatheternal life and eternal death.

If you fall into this category, look carefully at what the Bible says about salvation:

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10

Don’t forget that salvation is a free gift from God. You don’t have to do anything to earn it or deserve it. All you have to do is to receive it by faith.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Romans 6:23

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  Acts 2:38

To “repent” simply means to change your mind and change your direction. To depart from sin and follow Jesus instead of the world, the flesh, and the devil.

Ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior and to fill you with the Holy Spirit.
